Facebook to Personalize its Navigation Bar

According to the recent rumors, Facebook is redesigning the navigation bar on the
mobile app to prioritize the services that users are uses most commonly.

Now, the latest navigation bar extends the screen bottom on the iOS app and also
the top on Android app, formerly it showed every user in almost the same
country as the same five icons. For instances, in the US, it was the News Feed,
menu, notifications, Watch, and also the Marketplace.

With this latest update, now everyone will see the News Feed notification easily,
and also the menu icons, but another slot will be replaced with the icons which
you actually used the most, such as links to your profile, groups, friend requests.
Though, when one of these new shortcuts is added, then the application will also
shoot you with an alert.

However, the new navigation bar will feature almost four to six most often used
services of yours. And if it can’t be found there, then it will be available under the
menu icon. Sometimes, the application will also ping you with a notification,
whenever it adds one of these new icons.

Alexa Andrzejewski, a product manager, said in a statement that the company
wants the shortcuts which are available in the navigation bar only to reflect that
how an individual uses the Facebook. To that ending, the company is customizing
mobile shortcuts so that every user can simply connect with their most often used
products.

Over the next few weeks, the navigation bar’s redesigned is being rolled out
around the World.
